Well, he started telling me about the job fair the one of the gentleman Thier wonder if there was a way he could get his high school diploma.  So he call the VA here ( Utah  )  which is an amazing  Hospital,  and the main office for the Marine Corps to see if anything could be done. Long story short he is going back to Ohio next week to his old high school to be awarded his high school diploma.  And of course its going to be a big ordeal.  TV and newspapers and sitting in front on the stand and being the first one out of all the 18 year olds to get his diploma.

I can't tell you how happy we are for him. He deserves it. Maybe some of you that live out there will hear about it.

I know I'll hear all about how negative I am , but they DO NOT give high school diplomas to drop outs because they are cute & need a job.Either there is a lot more to this story or this guy is full of baloney.

@151949I know you will ignore my answer but you are clearly uninformed regarding high school drop-outs receiving diplomas after leaving military service.

Most states waive requirements for diplomas for certain circumstances as to why the student left high school AND joined the military.

Instead of referring to the person in question as "cute" and "full of baloney" you might educate yourself about high school diplomas being granted to retired military personnel.
