I eat there with a friend several times a month.  I always get the chicken noodle soup (but I like it in the 'bread bowl' (they dig out the bread and put the soup in it) and I get the chips (they're good and different).

I often get the simple salad.  It's one of the few places where I like the onions they use.

Lots of times I'll get the 'to go' order and eat it over the weekend.

They have tables and booths.  They have cookies and pastries for desert and you can bring home freshly baked bread (but I never buy that).  You can get muffins there too.

They have a fireplace and free internet, but I'd never use it.  Many people go in there and use the internet and eat alone.

I think out of all of the place I eat at (I eat with a friend 4 to 5 times a week) more single people eat at Panera than any place where I eat.  They sit there usually with their computers and eat at the same time.

The atmosphere is calm and I guess, inviting.  Like I said, "I don't usually go alone, but I see people sitting alone perfectly happy there".

Love Panera.  I usually opt for salad, but the 50/50 is good- half sandw/salad/soup.  Offeings differ depending on the season, they also have a bakery where you can grab bagels or a nice fresh loaf of bread.  Hope you enjoy!

My favorite at Panera is their Thai Chicken Salad (whole, not the 1/2).  I order it with the chips!  Great salad.

the Panera bread place in my area, you order from the cash registers close to front door, you then walk over to the high wall area where they make the food and wait till your number is called . You pick up the order when ready and take to table. That is the tricky part. The Panera bread place is quite small and during peak time sometimes there is no place to eat. You pretty much have to either ask if you can eat with them if there is chair(s) available.

I love their soups, especially the Autumn Squash (seasonal), the Lobster Bisque and the Baked Potato Soup. It's where my lady friends & I usually go for a bite before or after seeing a movie but luckily for me the 2 local grocery stores where I shop, a Stop & Shop and a Big Y both carry their soups as well a few other items as well as my local BJ's.

I don't get to Panera's very often, but we have several in our area.  The one that I do go to is just off the University of Delaware campus, and they have a nice little bakery, fireplace, free wifi, and very comfortable seating.

Take a look at the menu.  Their soups are very good as are their sandwiches.  They are now advertising breakfast sandwiches.   I like their breads and they have a nice selection of those.

I think that you will enjoy Panera.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

I'm a fan of Panera.  Love their baked potato soup and they make a great Greek salad.

Panera has delicious salads.  My favorite is Asian Sesame Chicken salad. Their bakery has a nice selection of pastries and bread.  Enjoy!
