I was watching an old Dateline episode which concerned a murder in Walsenburg, Co. and I wondered if you'd ever gotten the chance to check out the antique stores there?  They actually mentioned the many stores in this program, saying they evolved to replace the defunct coal mining that once took place there.  Actually, the principals in the murder, which was the subject of the program, were in the antique business.

@Kachina624  We used to go through Walsenburg when visiting our friends in Manitou Springs.  I've been to some of the antique stores but that was many many years ago...DW

On our last trip to Denver we went via Taos and went through Walsenburg and I was blown away by all the antique shops.  You expect to see them in a place like Vermont but not in Colorado.

Hey @dancingwoman  are you getting snow this week-end?  I hear winter is arriving in your neighborhood.  I bet you'll be seeing some really white mountain peaks.  We'll get high winds, rain and near freezing temps.

@Kachina624  Yeah flurries on Sunday maybe... The LaPlatas have been white a few times this month but have melted in a day or two.  Its crazy windy here this afternoon, it started late morning.  Wind is not one of my favorite things..lol...DW
