@World Traveler

I am assuming you are safe & Typhoon Halong did not hit your town/villiage?

Not much to no news on my local news.  Little news on the national news regarding the aftermatn.   I am relying on The Weather Channel & my "news" homepage for updates.

Stay Safe.

Re: PAGING **World Traveler**

@Mz iMac   Just now saw your post. I'm in Washington State, so the Alaskan storms due to the typhoon have not caused any problems so far.  Since I live a block from the coastline, Alaskan weather has been known to affect this area, but so far I'm good.

I appreciate your concern. ❤️

@World Traveler

Glad to hear you are safe & sound even though you do not live in Alaska.  I don't know why I thought you did.  I must be having one of my "senior" moments.  Smiley Tongue

This evening on The Weather Channel, they showed houses w/people still in them floating down a river.  Those towns/villages are so isolated & remote it's hard to "rescue."  Mostly you can only get there by water. Smiley Surprised

Re: PAGING **World Traveler**

@Mz iMac   Yes, it was quite a scene while watching the news.

I live very close to the Canadian border and our newscasters routinely mention Alaska in the weather predictions because the weather systems up in the Gulf of Alaska seem to affect what we get in our little area of the world.

You are not the first forum poster to think I live in Alaska. I have traveled to Alaska, but never lived there. Definitely a beautiful part of the world to see!
