I think people are following CDC guidelines and they understand that the doom&gloom and "end of the world" stuff we see on the news is just business.  We aren't at the point where people are hiding in their homes, listening to CNN 24/7.  I went to doctor's  appointment with a friend (she needed a steroid injection for knee pain), it was an emergency visit and we had to wait for the on call pain doc to arrive.  We were there for over 2 hours and people came and went.  Usually people don't use the Purell dispensers on the walls but I noticed every patient and visitor did yesterday.  They used the big bottles on the reception desk too, I watched to see if someone would steal one.  No one did.  Then we went to Starbucks and it was business as usual.  We're just supposed to do the things that all should have been doing anyway.  I'm getting emails from all my Healthcare providers and I got one from my health insurer and we get  daily email from work.  I assume most employers have addressed the subject with their employees. I think we are seeing a lessening of the COVID 19 paranoia that a psychiatrist on tv talked about.

i heard a way to conserve hand wipes and other wipes, if you find any.  cut them in half or even a smaller if you just need to wipe off a smaller area or even your hands .  this is a good idea with wipes hard to find at this time.

@dex @Imaoldhippie   I posted somewhere in the past few days that I have lived in the N. VA burbs of DC and later in a rural area in Culpeper County VA about 12 miles from town (I'm now gone from there too). 

I found that I respond to things like expected snow storms and things like this virus by adapting to whatever tends to be happening around me at the time.  In N. VA I was always just another in the crowd out stocking up "just in case" and in the rural area I lived I had more of a "oh well, whatever happens, happens".    Now I'm older, and back in the burbs again and I have adapted more of the truly middle of the road and more of the  "this too shall pass" attitude.

Another boonie dweller here.  We travel 30 miles to shop, but go two times a week.  That's what passes for entertainment around here.  Not only is there no toilet paper shortage here, our local market, Super One, has Cottonelle on a buy four 12 packs and save $5.00 promotion.

I ran out of kitchen disinfectant spray and my local grocery store still had some. However, they were out of hand sanitizer.

Went by grocery this morn.everything stocked but of course no hand sanitizer but did get antibacterial soap.figure if you in a pinch could help a little.
