@Carmie ...My husband was a state employee for a while so his insurance comes thru the state....he has AFiB and takes eliquis so every year he is told he cannot switch his Supplement, which is probably true as I have seen you reference that in the past...well every year that this topic comes up.
I appreciate you answering our questions, year after year, after year!!

I already received a booklet from my insurer showing what cost changes & coverage changes are coming to the Medicare Advantage I have & it's new name. Ugh.

@Cakers3 I received nothing from Medicare at all. My husband received a Medicare and You booklet.
My past employer with whom had a Medicare Advantage Plan ( I worked fora major health insurance company) sent me a letter about two months ago saying they were no longer offering coverage for retirees. So, I am left to find something on my own for myself as well as my husband.
I spent this morning looking at plans. It was very time consuming and the plans are expensive. The RX plans in my area are awful.
I don't use any RX drugs, so I am just gonna get the cheapest plan possible to"hold my place" so I don't get penalized.
My husband takes Eliquis and it's going to be a big adjustment payment wise for us. All the drug plans have high deductibles with small reimbursements.
I have to wait for a creditable coverage letter before I can get an RX plan and I know which supplement I want...prices are high at our age.
I guess I am not a happy camper, but it is what it is. I am fortunate that I understand the benefits and rules. Many people are in worse shape.

@Carmie I see you mentioned your husband is on Eliquis..as is my husband...a poster told me about purchasing drugs from Canada...holy smokes, what a price difference! We pay for it out of pocket and it is well worth it. If you are interested in knowing the pharmacy, just ask, and there was no push back from his doctor.
