I must be getting old, because Iโ€™ve done this. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

When Iโ€™m driving in an unfamiliar area, or itโ€™s raining, or itโ€™s dark outside, or when I need to concentrate on my driving I turn the radio off.  ๐Ÿ˜ณ

@wilma

I have been into audio sounds in a car since I was 14. Enhanced the sound systems in every car I ever owned, which is many. Learned as I grew older by keeping up with electronic advancements.

Anything I take serious, and driving is one of them at the top, I do not want any distractions while actively doing them. I am talking about activities that require 100% of my attention and focus.

Today Mark's 65 years of driving and not 1 accident when I have been driving. Luck? I don't think so! Skill? Mental for sure, and racing powerful cars for close to 20 years was a factor.

Learning and understanding the power of a fuel aspirated engine adds more respect whatever type of vehicle it propels. I have not changed, but my eyesight certainly changed. I always factor that in, especially during night driving.

And yes, we have Surround Sound in both of our vehicles and I do listen to my own music I burned onto different CD's, with only my favorite music. I tight traffic, I turn it off, back to 100% focus on the dangerous job at hand.
