Tell anyone who asks it's a dry run for Halloween decorating.  LOL

Looking good so far!!  Like road repair, it'll be done and you'll be so happy.

Re: OMG! WHAT A MESS!!! 😲

This is the "neatest" room and I could at least climb over the tools and buckets of plaster and paint to take the photo. The kitchen's a nightmare. My stainless appliances are fingerprinted like my granddaughters with peanut butter/jelly fingers drew on them.

Well all is finished, their cleaning crew comes in to do the dirty work of scrubbing/vacuuming. Then I have my own cleaning service come in because they know I'm a neat freak and will get it done my way. I'm following behind doing what I can to keep Molly out of the rubble using pet gates and asking them to pile their stuff in one area before they leave so it can be gated off.

They haven't started in bedroom yet, so will try to get a photo of the dark tan/gold paint so ya'll can see the transformation to lighter greige paint next week.

Don't get me started. Woman Mad

I never wanted stainless steel in the kitchen, but I told BH he could do whatever he wanted.

By the time we moved back into our house, the crew had pretty much destroyed our new stainless steel sink.  So many scratches.  Then they dented both doors on the new fridge.

We were reimbursed for the doors, but we're just letting the scratched sink slide.  Whenever I brought the crew's attention to a problem they'd look at me like I had three heads.

It's their strategy.  Eventually you give up and fix it yourself.

Godspeed. Heart

@just bee   Well, 22 yrs. ago, darker rooms were "the thing". The lighter sunroom looks great...at least I think it will when furniture, pictures, accessories, plants, etc. are back in the room.

The real difference is how you will feel in your "new" surroundings. Paint makes a huge difference.

@Shanus

I feel for you.  Those of us who have experienced the construction process, YUK.  The end results will be worth it though.  Hang in there & hope it brings a smile to your face when completed.

@just bee @sceniccoast   I know when it's all behind me, it'll be worth it....Think it's getting to me more than it would have before because of this COVID thing. My house has been my "safe place", stayed home many more days, months than ever before. It's like seeing my bunker torn apart.
