@SeaMaiden They never answered our calls/emails and made no effort to contact our personal attorney. That's when the homeowner's insurance and their attorneys stepped in.
Oh yes, they're out of business. Pandemic, bad reputation + our insurance co. reported them to attorney general's office. After all, this is costing them a pretty penny and I'm sure they wanted to prevent it happening to someone else.

@Lilysmom How did you know I needed a cyber hug? I think they would have paid for us to go to a hotel, but most in our area are closed and/or not serving food, short of help and from news reports I've seen, I think the mess here will be more sanitary than a hotel stay. 😃

I am very sorry that this happened to you.
We have had much renovation work done on our home over the past few years. Kitchen, pantry and laundry room, two full baths and one half bath totally redone. Of course, all painting followed. We recently had our long driveway repaved, and starting Monday our front steps and a long walkway to the front door done in pavers. Forgot to add had sunroom painted and new carpet installed.
My advice here. Try your best, but learn to live with sawdust and more. Expect there will be some “speed bumps” during the process. Glad you will be there to supervise. Oh, forgot to mention we had some tree work done outside (we do have many 100 foot trees). We are very happy with how everything turned out, but are we ever glad it is over.
We are seniors in our “family home.” While we are here, we will enjoy. When we sell, all our improvements will help us sell quickly for the right price.
All my my best to you. This won’t last forever!

@PamfromCT Thanks for the encouragement. My friend's a real estate agent and she advised that a buyer's inspector would be checking every corner when we sell to downsize, so I'm glad they're going into some of the walls that look suspicious and spraying for mold and others, just in case. Yes, everything will be painted and like new once their (& our) cleaning crew finishes.

@ECBG Sounds lovely and by the time they're finished and I've put everything away in it's place, the leaves will be gorgeous in the mountains!!!

@Shanus I need to know before to take off. The sooner the better. Schedules are two weeks at a time. I'm considered the top stylist here, refuse to manage, yet they call for me all the time(I am told!).

@ECBG You'll have plenty of notice. If you are at work, we can always meet for lunch, right?

@ECBG Maybe one day you'll be at the store, look up and there will be a little grey haired lady...dressed in all black wearing pearls and an arm full of silver bangles. SURPRISE!!!
