This reminds me of my neighbor ( years ago) who was far from a good housekeeper. Her husband had very poor vision and had an experimental eye surgery that he was a good candidate for. The surgery was a great success and his sight was greatly improved. When they got home from his stay in the hospital he walked in to their house and said OMG I thought this house was so much cleaner. My neighbor wasn’t happy with his comment but he was right. She never stepped up her cleaning …. Her husband ended up doing just about everything around the house. She often joked that the surgery worked out great for both of them.
