@Winifred Freddie, the fear of getting taken by a plumber motivated me, lol. That and my father had 3 daughters. As the youngest I was usually stuck being the assistant to anything he worked on in the house or the car. I'm pretty good about knowing my limits and won't hesitate to call in a professional if I think I might break something.

It was rainy yesterday here too. I went grocery shopping and bought 3 (4 packs) of paper lawn clipping bags. I had the supplies but no desire to go back out and continue raking leaves.

I got 5 bags worth on Saturday. I'll get more this coming weekend and should be completely done by Thanksgiving weekend.

Woke up to fog so dense you couldn't see across the road. That's always scary to me. It's supposed to be clear by 9. I always worry pArents won't pAy attention and just drop their kids off not knowing they are on a two hour delay. Most have notifications on their phones I think. I don't think I've ever heard of any being left so don't know why that bothers me.

Made chili last night. Tasted good on a cold, dark evening. My crackers were stale. I had some Club crackers in the cupboard The cupboard and used those but Merle thinks you can only use soda crackers with chili and ate stale ones.

@yock Well, I guess somebody had to eat the soda crackers. I like the little round ones with soup and chili :-)

another cloudy day and I can't get warm. Spent most of the day on the sofa with the fire place going. This weather dose not help my back pain one bit.

one good thing,I got a lot of reading done,plus did a bit of Christmas shopping on Amazon. Still a lot to do yet,but at least I got some things for my son in law who is so hard to buy for,even tho he likes getting clothes. That way he doesn't have to do it.fine with me. My dear hubby and I don't buy each other gifts,except maybe something little.there is really nothing we need. Sometimes we buy something for the house that we have had our eye on.

I had Chili tonight as Shannon made some a few nights back - she did a very good job on it. We had cornbread with it. Great food for a chilly evening - not freezing at all but chilly - spelled with a Y. LOL. Betty you know they say great minds run alike - maybe that explains it.

Still keep forgetting to pick up some bagels at Aldi's. STores were JAMMED yesterday and also today but today was not as bad. Could NOT figure out what was going on yesterday - it was unreal. Went to Aldi's today and struggled to find a somewhat decent parking place. So very strange in my opinion.

@Winifred Do you think people are shopping a little early for Thanksgiving? I can't believe that Thanksgiving is next week.

Sorry that I missed post yesterday. It's chaotic at work these days.

I'm leaving some mini chicken pot pies (in a roaster to keep warm) in case you want to swing by and have a nibble :-)

Cold and rainy here today. I need to go to the store but I'm not very motivated. I thought it was supposed to get warm.

Merle had had an annual award presented to him yesterday and it will bear his name. He is the only person in the US to win all the awards Toro offers and now he has won all the distributor awards too. He was really surprised since he had no idea it even exited. They needed a picture for the plaque and I didn't have a good formal one so I told him Natalue needed a picture for a school project so he went and put on a tie and let me take the picture. Luckily he didn't think to ask her how she was going to use it.

Today we we are just going to Veg out after the grocery run. I transferred our prescriptions to Kroger from Walgreens and trying to make sure I got everything. Walgreens has an automated service that drives me nuts and even tho I told them I didn't want to use it they still bugged me. And they are more expensive so I'm hoping this will be a bit better.
