@monicakm   Oh yeah, that's disturbing.  Well I have never noticed any ads pop up from talking about stuff and maybe it's because I don't have my phone hooked to Bluetooth in my car, no Alex or Alexa, no google maps in my car or any destination stuff on.  

Yes I'm a t-Rex as I still write down directions...grocery list, appts on a wall calendar. 

At work, we got security stuff installed, so desktop is just used for work related tasks. I do have my ipad with me at work so I can shop, check these boards, read news, check my email, etc.

I live like I had a past I didn't want to catch up with me! Lol!   No,Alexis in this house, I refuse to hook phone to car, no google maps on any of my devices.  My husband has some of those things, but not me.  . I don't do Facebook, or social media.  I am here posting though,  and every post is on internet I know , but not with my name.  It's not like my name isn't out there. I use electronic, and love it. I have simplified some things in my life. If I was younger well,,....

Same here.  I have no Alexa, Siri or anything else they come up with.  Will not be connected via my car.  I don't need google maps to get around.  

Not on social media either. I have been tempted to sign up for x but don't want to get my dander up...don't want to argue with strangers.  I have read that some get their news first from x and apparently the whole world does too before regular news outlets report things.  Oh well, last to know about stuff I guess.

im not bothered or disturbed by any of this. Its the current state of the world. I choose to appreciate technology for what it can offer. And to laugh at the parts that are absurd.

The only thing I notice is the pop up ads on the sidebar of my computer or places like The Weather Channel, I'm definitely tracked for items I've searched for .

I use GPS in my car and never had a problem with it taking me places we don't select....also our phones are hooked up to both vehicles, no destinations unless we request them. 

Love when it says 'Welcome Home' when we pull in driveway

Our TVs ignore us obviously, nothing from conversations there.  We rarely take our cell phones in the bedroom so they're no listening in....

I do realize that everyone has home 'security' cameras, so whatever I do in my front or back yards is captured.  No big deal, I guess....
