Need Recommendations: Security Cams

Do you have a Security monitoring system where a company monitors your property?

If so, I need recommendations.

Also need approximate cost of such a system.

TIA.

You need to open your phone book or google security monitoring in your vicinity. We kdon't know where you live or what's available. It's your responsibility to do due diligence. Any suggestions made here would be nonspecific to your needs.

And it sounds just like an ad on TV, can't remember the product/business, but person A asks person B for a recommendation, then when person B gives one, person A tells person B to do all the research and get back to her with possible businesses, comparisons and costs.

Re: Need Recommendations: Security Cams

My home security system was installed by a local company  referred to us by a family member in law enforcement.   This company installed the security systems in all the county and state offices, such as courthouse, city offices, etc.   They contract the actual monitoring services with a company based in Maryland (I am in West Virginia).

We have alarms on all windows and doors, motion sensors, glass breakage detectors, heat/fire detectors in the house and garage, and a siren on the outside of our house that is loud enough to alert my brother across the road.   Our system was nearly $2000 in 2007, and the monthly monitoring is $35.

Initially this local company used a well advertised company for their monitoring; I would call that company for any service needs, and the same employees who installed my system made the service calls.  I wanted the employees who installed my system to be the same ones to service it.  I dropped that well advertised company when they would no longer send the local company employees out for service calls.

I strongly suggest you stay local.
