Need Help from Crafters with Project

[ Edited ]

I have a sweatshirt that I want to wear again, but when I was younger, I had some lettering done on the back.    It's the kind of letters that I went to a t-shirt store and they did the heat press thing and attached them.

I've tried to remove them by using a steamer and a hot iron, but only a few came off.  The rest are not budging.

Does anyone have any tricks to remove them?   It drives me nuts that a few letters came right off after steaming, but the others won't move at all.

It's a black sweatshirt and I suppose I could blacken out the lettering with a marker, but I would hate to resort to something cheap looking like that.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I think it's a lost cause.   Sorry to sound like a "downer".......but some things just can't be fixed.

I think tatooers go over messed up tatoos, can you do the same with the shirt? Cover over it, not tatoo it. LOL

I make matching T shirts for our family when we go to Disney World every year and once they are pressed on well...they don't come off.....

Honestly, go to Walmart and buy a new one for only $3-$5.86. They are on sale.
