Afternoon Q friends. I bought 3 hanging baskets today at local grocery store.Im a petunia and marigold girlie so they had plenty of them.My patio need color so these baskets did the trick.

Tomorrow. The homeless shelter is coming to pick up my couch.I bought a new one and thought donating would be a good deed. They can always use clean furniture. My sofa has barely been used, but just wanted new and a different color.

It has really warmed up here in Central Ill. My air will probably stay on til October.

Having my family over Sat so pulled pork it is.

I've watched a neighbor bring home hanging baskets, and then she snips off the hangers and puts them in porch planters. Quick and easy - doesn't even have to replant them.

Today we turned on the air conditioning here in Wisconsin. Tomorrow will be really warm.

It's always fun to buy new plants for the season. I picked my mom and myself up a hanging basket each of trailing periwinkle (vinca) yesterday. They were 2 for $15- great price! I love petunias and marigolds, too. I've read that marigolds are great to put in among other flowers because they deter pests. They're pretty hardy, too, in the heat.
