I ordered an item from AMZ yesterday--Sunday--- and paid the $2.99 for early delivery--4am-8 am--it isn't here and its 12:41 PST. I did receive an update from  them saying it would be here tomorrow--on Tuesday-- due to unforeseen delays----well, you know--that doesn't cut it with me. I want my $2.99 back! I did do a live chat and ended up getting $10 for my troubles. And that is ok with me----didn't expect that much--would have preferred the item I ordered  at the time I paid for it to show up --but $10 is $10--I only  asked for $2.99--just wonder how many milions of dollars this kind of thing cost consumers who don't request a refund---just an FYI

Depending on where your item was coming from, Amazon has notices on its website saying there are delays in delivery.  Even if it wasn't coming from here, delays here are impacting the whole country.

The entire east coast is in a bomb cyclone right now.  We have 18" and counting here in NYC.  I haven't seen this much snow since 1996.   With so many people having prime, I doubt there are many people paying the extra $2.99 for overnight.  I never even see that as an option.

Well, there is a huge snow blizzard in the northeast.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

You are lucky that you didn't have to pay for snow removal!

My neighbor always says that there is no need to pay but she has teens who come over to shovel and they have a snow blower.  We got about 18" of snow and I had to give them something.  I gave $50.00

If I had a professional (adult) do it I would have ended up paying double!

Yep, the weather sucks, but still if you pay for expedited delivery you sort of expect it. Regardless of weather delays, which are unavoidable ( Two Target deliveries have now been rescheduled twice a piece) uneven customer service and delivery services might be a factor in driving some people back to stores.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience @wagirl  but this has been a very rough winter and all who have to go out there and deliver the most.

I think waiting a little longer is compassion and soon you will have your item safely.  Best.

I hope we all stay safe in this unusual weather system this year.

It has been horrific to say the least.

It always amazes me what people complain about.

@Tori3569  For some items they have 2.99 for fast delivery. If I know that I will be gone when the item is coming the next day I pay the $2.99 and the order comes very early the next morning.

I have never gotten 2-day shipping with Prime, so I would have no expectations of overnight for an added upcharge.

Ever since that last ice store Amazon has had a banner across the top of their site saying there could be delays.  And both of my last orders have been delayed, but I still got them a day later, not the later date given after which I could file for a refund.

I've found that there is very little I need in a short amount of time. But understand that sometimes, if sick or needed to repair something a quick delivery can be a blessing.

My Prime deliveries are also seldom when promised, so I allow items to accumulate in my cart or list and wait until I have several items. I don't want them to have to make repeated deliveries just because they will. If waiting also gets me a digital credit, all the better.

Perhaps Amazon should not offer expedited shipping when there are massive weather disruptions across so much of the country.
