My husband put a light inside that automatically comes on at dusk. We bought the cement bench for ppl to have a place to sit and sort through books. I keep the box stocked with bookmarks that are free to all. The bottom shelf is for kids books. We made the bottom shelf one row and shallow so little kids can easily reach. Top row is deeper, two rows of books for adults. I like to decorate it for various holidays too.

That's such a nice thing you are doing!  And so great of your husband to make it!  We have a few around where I live and I often drop books off.  I think this is a wonderful way to keep books circulating and not waste any of them!
