Love WM Perdue chicken. We have Walmart+ delivery and I often order the Perdue whole roast chicken. I believe hormone & antibiotic free?
In fact putting one in the rotisserie tomorrow yum can't wait.

Prices and quality are fantastic at WM. Was shocked when we started the Walmart+ delivery a year or so ago.
Great variety and the prices are shocking...shockingly lower than other stores ![]()
Maybe quality changes in regions but have never been disappointed with our deliveries.

Grass fed pasture raised beef if the steers also have access to grain is the best meat I ever had. We raised it. Steers ate deep and other green grass all day and chomped on a little grain also when they wanted it.
For our own use, we had them butchered a little younger than what we took to market. And when we took a load of them at least two always graded and sold for prime.

Well, I think it is okay to buy meat from Walmart, especially name brand wrapped items like ham and chicken.
But, I prefer to buy steaks and hamburgers from vendors like Omaha Steaks. They have many fabulous sales.
I do think Walmart has a lot less recalls on food than Trader Joe's, a place I have never shopped, but seems quite popular. (I am not a Costco member, either.)
Here in Philly we have LOTS of grocery store brands: Giant, Acme, Weiss, Whole Foods, as well as markets, so there are always great places to shop for food!

Apparenlty this is only in a very specific part ot the U.S.
Walmart has launched its McClaren Farms Angus beef line in nearly 500 stores across five Southeastern states. The specific states where you can find this premium beef are:
| Alabama | Yes |
| Florida | Yes |
| Georgia | Yes |
| Mississippi | Yes |
| South Carolina | Yes |

DH loves to grocery shop and has narrowed down the best place to get great steaks....Walmart for sure. Ocassionally when we are at the shore, we have found exceptional steak at Acme.
Neither of us enjoys tough, chewy meat so we buy where the meat is tender and tasty.
Seafood and chicken for dinner more often than not now. So steak may be once or twice a month and we look forward to it and some red wine.

I guess I am funny about where I buy my meat as well. Only two stores I will buy meat from around here. I will buy other items but just prefer my meat where I always have good results. Both stores have fresh meat with butchers.
I don't do Walmart or Aldi meat. I have never had any bad experiences but something in my head about it. Just can't do it.
I grew up in small grocery store and my dad had fresh meat and he was the butcher so I am sure it is where I get that from.
