I've never bought from Walmart--not in my area but have from Target once in a while--was just fine.

No way I would eat meat from Walmart!

"James Beard Award-winning chef names Walmart the best place to buy USDA Prime beef in America.

Chef Chris Shepherd says the retailer's partnership with McLaren Farms gives consumers access to 'some of the best Black Angus beef in the world at a more affordable price.'

Pricing beats even Costco and Sam's Club, according to Shepherd."

I buy grass fed & finished beef at Walmart but my best buy for it is at Aldi when I find 30% - 50% off stickers, I buy it at other stores too...it's all good.

I don't eat beef or pork but I do eat chicken. I buy Perdue chicken from WM, not any different from other grocers except for the price.

I think I may be the only one or one of few that doesn't care for grass fed ground beef.  I think it makes tough meatballs and burgers.

We never find 30-50% off stickers at Aldi.

I've never had an issue with meat purchased from Walmart, even when I have it delivered. Everything is always fresh and great quality.

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

You're not alone, I know others that don't like it... I use 80 20 for burgers, 80 15 for meat sauces, 10 & below fat content is a no go for me. I find the 30 - 50% stickers Wed mornings but it doesn't happen often, instead it's $1 - $2 off...I always look for those red stickers on everything. @CelticCrafter

I've never seen prime beef at Walmart, only choice. I only buy prime; it makes a big difference because it has more marbling. I eat beef 6-7 days per week.

No way would I buy any kind of meat from Walmart either.   I recall not all that many years back that some stores were taking meat that had gotten older, applying some dye to it, and then re-dating it for sale.    One time my husband bought some ribeyes there and they were truly gross.   You could smell that they weren't at all fresh!   Ugh
