Welcome friends old and new to the Bird's Nest for March 2026. 

I tend to visit a limited number of threads on a regular basis.  I decided to open a Bird's Nest thread for March in case some of the posters who visit here are like me.

As most of you know, I lost my beloved sister almost 2 weeks ago (corrected).  It was sudden and unexpected.  Today I start the legal process of settling her estate via probate.  I am not going to have the time to research and post the Bird of Day in the month of March as I am running between 2 houses and working on modifying my home a bit to incorporate my sister's beloved cat Piper into my flock.  I'm sure that this will be an interesting experience and I believe that I was engineered for these types of challenges and will 'make it do what it do'.

I know that many of you are praying for me and I feel it.

I trimmed Piper's nails yesterday.  She didn't fight me for both front feet and her left rear foot.  Piper was through with me when I made it to her final 2 toes on her right foot.  I draped a towel over her head and body leaving the right foot exposed and finished the job.  I gave her treats for 'pain and suffering' afterwords.  I forgot that cats were drama-mamas.

I was surprised and delighted that you changed your mind about the March Bird's Nest thread. 🙂

I'm sure we all understand at least some of what you must be going through right now, and whatever you have time to post is appreciated.

Maybe March's thread should be "Bird's Nest/Piper Updates".☺️  You apparently haven't lost your cat touch. 👍
