My most recent computer is an "Apple Mac Pro Air 15". Although I charge at night along with charging my Aplle I Phone and pics are sinced, I still cannot post them here. Drives me nuts,

I can see all the photos on the computer and know they get posted after clicking on the "pic icon" at the top of the post, but even when I request "small", the pics are way too big and I get that message in pink. Frustrating.

Can anyone walk me through the process? Do I need to change settings to post somewhere? I'm a dunce with technology, but may be able to follow your step by step directions.

TIA.

I encountered that problem when I was learning to post a few weeks ago. Select the mountain top symbol to post a picture. When it comes up select large, medium, or small for the size you want the picture to be when it posts. Select photo library for picture source. Select a photo from the library. This is the important step: At the bottom of the photo you selected the white space will say "Actual Size" or "Calculating Size." Click on that. A selection of choices will appear. Click on Large, Medium, or Small. Then your photo will be a postable size (Actual Size does not work.) Complete the commands to post and you should be successful. Good luck.

Have you tried any of the YouTube tutorials? There are quite a few. Just google "posting pictures from a macbook pro," and they will come up in your search results.

It's not the dimensions of the picture are too big, but the file size. Windows includes Paint, which can reduce it, so I would think Apple also includes some type of tool. Perhaps the one @On It  mentioned. You can also use a site such as tinypng dot com to do that. You can upload a photo and download a new reduced copy.

@Shanus   When you get the message that your pictures are too large, they're talking about the pixels not the physical size.  I don't have or know iPhone but is it possible your phone is on a setting that is causing this?  It's usually done for maximum clarity and sharpness in the picture. Are you editing or doing something to make your pictures sharper.  Can someone knowledgeable check the camera on your phone?

@On It  was having the same problem.

iMac might he adjustable when it comes to file size but iPad is not. When the file size is too bid it's because the photo was taken with the highest pixel size, aka the highest resolution. You can see this with all clothing photos shot for Vogue online. One way I've  been able to get around some photos with big file size is to take the photo that's in in photos and use my fingers to make it smaller and then take a screen shot of it on my iPad and save the screen shot to photos. The newer shot usually isn't too big a file size. This does not work all the time though. Now there's some new thing in the photos I have not foooled around with yet. It pops up for each photo.
