Re: Looking for QVCAddiction

@Black Cat Back

Please read the post @gillian  that John suggested.  While you may have clinical depression as was suggested, There is good advise on that post.

I have been reading a book Faith still move mountains, by Harris Faulkner.

There are miraculous stories of the healing power of prayer.

People that have hit rock bottom, really had no hope beyond anything most of us have experienced, and changed their life.

It is unbelievable the stories of desperation, but what prayer did, how it changed their lives. These are true stories.

These people felt life was over in their situations, but everything changed.

You can go on Amazon and when you see the book, click on sample, and they will transfer the book to your computer and you can read a few chapters to see if you like the book.  You do not have to buy it if it doesn't appeal to you, but the stories are so uplifting, at least you can get a few chapters to read.

Please try it.  I know you don't feel like doing anything, but do yourself a favor and try that and the post John suggested.

There are people here who care for you, so please care for yourself.  with love and blessings

Yes. Thank you.  The storms here in cal. didn't affect my area and I did not go out and drive.  We are suppose to have gone through the worse of it.  The sun is shining today and Mel and I can finally go walking. I did a lot of praying.

Mel's blood and urine work up came out OK. She had an upset stomach, so I made some peppermint tea and gave her a little twice a day and it worked.

I goggle a lot of home remedies that I use, and if they are ok for animal, I use them instead of prescription drugs that are costly.

Thank you for asking.

I have not heard from Tennisbuf anymore, so I figured she didn't want to talk on here because she was getting some negative comments.

I do hope she is ok and took some of the advise myself a few others and John has suggested.

Thank you again for checking on me.

I hope everything OK for you and yours.

Glad to see you missed the disasters in your state. Wishing you and Mel continued good health.

Unfortunate you haven't heard anything from your friend. Sometimes it's a "darned if you do, darned if you don't", with certain types of issues. True even with close friends and relatives.

Best to you both,

Thank you John.  I also wish the best for you and your wife Cindy and not sure if you still have the cats, but if you do, hope they are OK.

As far as the online friend, my guess is she was getting some negative comments and that was not good, yet as you know, we can get all the good advise, but in the end, it's up to each individual to take control of their own life.

Blessings.

Re: Looking for QVCAddiction

@qvcaddition- I thought you were in Calif., and wondered if you had been adversely affected by the storms.  Glad it passed you by.

I'm down in L.A. and in my area of the city is was just wet and more wet.  It's beautiful day today, thank goodness.

Fortunately, they have said we're out of the drought and th snow pack is looking good.

That's a good idea to search for safe home remedies for dogs.

TennisBuf may return when things settle down for her.  She had a lot going on.

Have good day.  Stay warm!

I'll be 87 in June and the cold really hurts the bones when you are elderly. Mel is at least 98 in dog years, but we still get out when we can.  It will be in the 50's the next few days with sunshine, in fact it is sunny now, so around 11 after her lunch, we will be out there.  Yesterday, I had on one of Dennis Bosco's very heavy jackets, I brought years ago, and two sweaters underneath, a wool scarf, hat, gloves.  She had her sweater and she has lots of hair, so off we went for a mile.  Longer walk today, 2 miles.

I couldn not go in my garage yesterday to do my 2 miles treadmill or 5 miles bike.  It was too cold in there.  Today should be better.

I keep thinking how high my PGE bill will be this month, althogh I am on their payment plan, but still over 120.00 a month.  I have to keep it on, or we both start coughing.

Lucky I have a roof over my head, with the storms, many have lost homes, so I count my blessings.

Have a good day and stay warm.
