OMG that is so funny but true. I also feel it is outdated.
Thanks! I always thought he and his upper lip were funny! Still loved him! ; )
In the 80's and 90's I was in the "cosmetic" business. I wore lip liner and yes I had a shade of lipstick that I wore daily and my liner was slightly darker but never a hard contrast. I have small lips and at that time, it's what I felt looked the best on me. I did not wear it for "trend" reasons.
I also have a "tail" on my eyebrows and I did not like the advice that the rep from Laura Mercier gave Courtney "on air" to "lose the tail and to go outward with the brow". Personally, I do not want my eyebrows to look like "bird wings".
In the end it's really about "personal preference". It's about what makes you feel good about yourself and it does not matter what others think.

I love the lip liner but not so dark compared to the lip color.
I use a lip pencil slightly darker to my lipstick but like I said not too off the hook.

@SKT I think liner should be neutral to match your natural lip color. Then when lipstick or gloss wears off, there's not a clown like dark line left around the lips.
It was the "thing" a few decades ago and popular with Naomi Campbell and other models, but when makeup became more mnimal, I think that's when the dark liner looked strange.

I think Courtney should wear her lips the way she wants to.
Don't care how her lips look, I care about the description and info on the item presented.
If her lips were a bit 'distracting', maybe we are not really interested in the product.

her liner is very old fashion to me and way too dark--it is very distracting--IMO.

I thought dark lip liner was big in the 1990's. I don't like the look, too harsh. It's definitely not natural looking.

@Kachina624 Yes! That's exactly who I was thinking of. I didn't like the look then, and I don't like the look now. It's very unnatural looking.
