Life Keeps Me Humble

A drugstore near my house got an Amazon locker recently, and I decided to give it a try for a return. I printed out the return label and was given a locker code to use.

 

I found the locker in the back corner of the store.

 

Locker: Touch screen to start.

      Me: Touched.

 Locker: Enter code.

       Me: Entered.

 

One of the locker doors pops open.

 

Locker: Place package in open locker.

      Me: Placed.

 Locker: Choose one: -The package is too big.

                                -The door is stuck open.

      Me: Why isn't the locker closing the door?? It didn't               tell me to close the door! 

  Locker: Beep Beep Beep Beep without stopping.

       Me:  Panic! Here comes a drugstore employee. My                savior. Help! How do I close the door???

 

Without stopping or saying a word, she reaches up and closes the door.

 

       Me:  Oh. Thank you.

 

We live and we learn. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
