@Hooty ...it made me realize that I am nothing more than a part time, bottom of the totem pole, low priority in the lives of my friends and relatives. When I try to contact them, they don't answer the phone and don't return my emails most of the time. Yet when THEY have a problem, they expect ME to be readily available at all times on a moment's notice and they get upset when I don't answer MY phone or respond to THEIR emails. SMH.

Edited to add that I have decided that since these people are not available for me, I will no longer be available for them. I already made the first step by contacting one relative.
