We have a VHS player, also a small dvd player...we rarely use either one.

Are the large VHS tapes a thing of the past?

I am cleaning out and might get rid of the larger one if people still use them.

I would imagine if people still have the larger tapes, they still use the player...we gave our granddaughter all our tapes years ago for her kids to watch.  We would not be purchashing any more tapes.

I think VCR's have been a thing of the past for years now.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

We burned all the VCR tapes to cds long ago, then imported them to flash drives and online storage.

Re: VHS Tapes....

[ Edited ]

I came across a ton of them last week while getting ready for new carpeting in the bedroom.

We still have a working VCR so my husband is going through them some of them.  They're old TV shows we recorded.

We did pitch a lot of them already.  If we didn't have a working machine they all would have been thrown out.

I don't even know if you can still buy a VCR or blank tapes.

I bet that eventually DVD's will become a thing of the past with all the streaming services.

We got rid of all of our VHS tapes years ago.  Some were ok.  Some had become stuck together.  Any with family videos were put onto CD's.

We had tons of the old Disney VHS tapes, dating back to the 1980's, when my daughter was little.  I think she took those years ago, to play in her classroom, when she was teaching.  At this point, most have probably been repurchased in the DVD form, for the grandkids.

I have Johnny Carson,s last show taped.  Also  the little girl that got kidnapped in Petaluma by Salcido, her funeral.  It was local.  Still have a VCR,  but don,t use it.  Still have Richard Simmons tapes.
