Now as for custody of kids, I wonder if he doesn't want to pay her child support.
Of couse he doesn't want to pay CS!! My ex spent more time with our kids after our divorce than he ever did when we were together. It was great for the kids, however his true goal (yes, he admitted it!) was the keep his child support lower.

I worked at a legal services agency that had free services for DV divorces. I have seen some really nasty husbands. Some of these husbands would generate paperwork requests daily to up the legal fees of the spouse by upping the billing time of the spouse's lawyer. Ask your attorney for help in this by using his/her paralegal for routine stuff or using other means to stop this tactic.

Every time I see a new post with the word "legal" included, I cringe. Please, please do not ask legal questions here. It will never result in anything but confusion and incorrect information. And people go off on the craziest tangents! I am a litigation paralegal of over 33 years. Every state/jurisdiction is different, and there is no "normal." Leave it in the hands of her attorney. And if she hasn't retained one, she needs to.

The OP wasn't asking for legal advice- she was asking for personal opinions about the volume of paperwork that's being generated.... huge difference!

Not really. We'll have to just disagree on this one, ibb38.
