She seems to have a good personality.  A serious news personality?  I don't know.

Kelly Clarkson doesn't have the background for a serious news/issues type of program.  She's fluff.

@Catty2  From what I gathered from the article it will be her new talk show that will potentially take that time slot. 

Excerpt:

"The singer, who is currently in her first season as a coach on NBC's "The Voice," is already venturing into daytime television with a talk show of her own, "The Kelly Clarkson Show," which Variety reported back in September was picked up by the NBC Owned Television Station Group. The move will give the show a presence in nearly 30% of US households when it premieres in the fall of 2019."

Kelly C. needs to stick with her music. She doesn't have the pull for a morning show. Glad Megan K. is gone. NBC pulled a bonehead move putting her on in the first place.  I said she wouldn't last long and I was right.  Noting what faux station she came from, she wasn't an appropriate fit for non cable tv.

I think Kelly clarkson is a great singer, nice personality, very open and likeable.  However, about 5 minutes of her at one time is enough.
