Girl @viva923   The Q would ban me permanently if I let it rip what I was thinking when I read your post.  While I was waiting for you to get back with me I was reading up on Invicta policies online.  I only saw Invicta watches on ShopNBC or whatever that network was called.  I'm a Timex woman so you know I don't know the other brands.  I saw something about a 20% restocking fee for a return over 30 days after purchase but I couldn't get it straight if it was from an online order or in store purchase.

This would be the last Invicta watch I ever buy if they are going to be so trifling about returns.  I mean c'mon something was wrong with the watch for it to break in 2 days.

Birdmama,l love watching the lightening bugs . They put on a good show. I remember catching them in a jar when little,but let them go soon after.

@Epicurean  it was either last summer or the summer before (probably 2021) that I didn't realize a lightening bug got into the family room when I had stepped out on the patio for something.  So I'm watching TV in the dark and I see a flash of light. I'm laughing as I type this.  It was intermittent and at first I thought I was hallucinating.  Then I thought one of my retinas was detaching   Suffice it to say, I realised it was a lightening bug and I carefully caught it in a big plastic container with a lid and released it outside.

this was an IN STORE purchase. this store has been at the mall for the past near 8-10 years. dh has gotten watches from them for many years.

So much has changed since the onset of the pandemic @viva923   There are lots of people who continue to work at home because businesses realized it could get them out of leasing/owning buildings.  I don't think people buy the same amount of clothing and accessories like they used to when they were expected to show up in the office.

Hard to say but maybe this is what's driving stores to be more rigid about things.  5 will get me 10 that nobody mentioned a restocking fee when they sold your husband the insurance.  They are going to hurt themselves in the long run by being shady.

@just bee Look at that face on that bird   I was in my early 40's when I entered the bird phase of my life in 2005.  Birds are so magical to me that I never get tired of looking at them.

It's one of the things I appreciate about New Mexico.  We have such a variety of birds because they choose to migrate through our state.

I always laugh when I see gulls.

And I'm a big fan of our state bird.

It would be hard for me to contain myself if I saw a roadrunner in real life @just bee   I'm one of those people who would be really easy to find in a national park.  I wouldn't approach any wild animals (adult or baby) but you would hear me "squee" all day long.

Birdmama--Thanks for the picture of the PVC vinly fence cement. I had it pictured in my head the size of a caulking gun. LOL 

This weekend we finally saw a Goldfinch on the front porch suet feeder. The tiny birds have been very sparse this season. We had doves use an old nest in the bamboo lattice trellis and had five babies. Now they are gone and we have another bird family in there. The clematis vine gives them lots of cover. I can't see what this bird is. I think it may be some type of sparrow. I always figure that's a sign that nothing "really" scary is in the woods.
