Our high temp today is -9 with wind chills -40 to -50.

It's 7am and it's -9 degrees with wind chill of -36. I'm in the midwest.

We received a couple inches of snow and ice Wednesday night. Snow is blowing so much that drivers can't see in front of them and there are accidents everywhere.

So far, that huge blizzard moving across the country has only given us snow flurries. Meteorologists say we shouldn't expect much today either.

I'm happy that we still have power.

I had to laugh when watching the news last night. It's supposed to be +45 degrees with rain by Dec 29.

Yesterday, we managed to get up to -4 with wind chills -40 to -50 degrees.

Wow, I really can’t even imagine it @CalminHeart.  We are at 9:degrees right now but feels like -11 and I can feel the ice in the air.  I don’t think it’s been this cold for quite some time.

Your temp is not for the faint of heart. Stay safe and warm.

Wish I could stay home today, 10° here in MA. All we got was heavy rain and wind.

Sun is out but not much help. Wish I had a woodstove like we had in Maine. Stay warm everyone.

We lost power for over 24 hours beginning Friday when storms took trees - and power lines down. 9 degrees outside.  It got down to 40's in the house.  Very cold.

Made me realize once again what a tragedy it will be if - in our quest to eliminate fossil fuel - we cause electrical grids to go down  This is serious stuff.  People can die from the cold.  I pray we come to our senses before it's too late.

The powers that be don't care who die's from the cold, only their agenda!!!! Many will die this winter because they can't afford, with the price of fuel  to heat their homes. Those who could fix the problem DON'T CARE!!!!!! Just wait, someone who does not care will report this post and it will disappear like magic!!!
