I've always had good luck caling the postal 800 number.  I do put in the tracking number if I have it, but after it gives me the information, if I want to speak to a human, I keep pressing "0" and I then get connected to a real person.....and in my case, they've gone out of the way to help locate something I thought would never get to me.

@SharkE

I don't know why you think the Q should refund your credit card?  It's in transit somewhere and it's only been 6 days sitting in a post office somewhere.

You'll get the package, it's just a matter of time and then you'll have it free.

I just don't understand why no one can wait, that's what the Q is, package sent and wait 2 wks.  Same for returning, wait 2 wks to get it back to them using their label.

You can Google it and find the number.

I wouldn't trust any mail service in Texas for a while.

Particularly if Houston is a hub.

I know Amarillo is north, but still.......

As I see some of the coverage, it was something that came to mind yesterday when I saw a  neighborhood where homes are underwater up to the second floor.   All that mail!   Where is it?   Floating away somewhere or packed in a warehouse.   What a mess.   And it won't be over for a long time.

I have gotten very good results from using the "contact us" option on the USPS site.  You can choose more than one option to send the same information.  There has been a problem of mis-delivered mail recently (twice within 2 weeks) and that hasn't happened since I wrote.  They do get in touch with the local P.O. when you can't.
