My first car was a Pontiac Phoenix, similar to a Chevy Nova. My graduating class could wear jeans to school. My older sister had to wear dresses or skirts to school! Had crushes on The Monkees and Bobby Sherman. Loved the Batman TV show.

Re: IT'S NATIONAL RETRO DAY !

I ran into some of my fav musical groups later  like the Manhattians that sang "Kiss And Say Goodby".

In my teen years, I listened to Ft, Wayne Indiana and "Wolf Man Jack" in my little radio.  On my record player was the Beatles, and Hamilton, Joe, Frank, and Reynolds.

My first concert was Jimi Hendrix!

I didn't like fashion until much later.  Skirt and sweater sets were boring to me, so, I tried to find them with color.

@Goodie2shoes

Music was Rock and Roll. Bill Haley got me hooked.

First Car I fully owned was my 1950 Mercury Coupe, in 1955. Half owned a 1947 Chevy with 1 of my older sisters when I was 12.

Quitting high school twice. I preferred Drag Racing on Drag Strips around the Midwest in 1955. Racing and working a real job, and time out to join United States Army.

Take me back please.

I remember record stores with posters of Jimmy Hendrix on the walls. I also remember eight track tapes. Candies shoes that looked pretty but were extremely uncomfortable. I also remember people hitchhiking.
