Even if the word "fear" didn't exist, people would still have anxiety about various things, whether they made sense or not.  If you weren't afraid of anything, what would your life be like?

 

I really love this definition of "playing it safe" ....   

 

"Tiptoeing carefully through life, trying to make it safely to death .... "

Sorry if that was confusing.   Sometimes you just have to push past irrational fears and take risks, even small ones.  I don't think the water in the shower will kill you if it were to run onto your face.   JMO
