@Enufstuff, your Post made me laugh. Just last week I was at Home Depot and a lady came in with a red poodle. I asked her what happened and she said while she was at work her daughters dyed the poodle red. It looked so cute.

Re: I’ll be showing my age with this question

I was always more interested in men. 🤣
As a child, 1970s TV, not really movies. We didn’t go to the movies very often.
I know many old movies and stars but I can’t say I ever admired a female actress.

My all time favorite has been Anna Magnani.

She was earthy and real.

I can't think of any movie stars I admired, but will show my age by saying Jacqueline Kennedy, women who spoke out for women's rights, Grace Hopper, Sandra Day O'Connor, and number of female authors--too many to list!  And my mom because she was a WAC and a very independent woman.

I remember the WAC's in WW11

He is so right.  The stars??? today don't compare and neither do the movies.  I can watch the news if I want to see all the violence  we see in the movies today.  I'm 86 and movies were for good entertainment and forget real life for awhile.

I loved Doris Day for a lot of reasons, so talented, very beautiful and loved animals.  I admired her very much.

@Q4u I loved Doris Day too. She had a lovely singing and speaking voice. Other favorites were Lana Turner and Kim Novak. As I child I liked their very blond hair.
