I'd like to see the phrase "no brainer" disappear.

It's almost offensive. Like if you don't get something, and they say, this is a no brainer, if I don't need or even want it, doesn't make me brainless. That's already questionable in it's own right, but it's sounding offensive lately. I don't take it personally, it just doesn't sound very nice anymore.

Are you tired of any phrase lately, or for whatever reason.

Two corporate-eze type words making the rounds:

"reach out"    as in, "I reached out to her."  Why not just I called her.  ??

"to your point"  as in," to your point, I have to add my agreement."  Why not simply I agree with you.   ??

I use the term "reach(ed) out" in the office because it covers my attempts to contact someone either via phone, email, text, or any combination of those.

I'd like to eliminate the word "hacked".  Good grief, they use it for everything now.  It's now an all purpose word that can mean anything anyone wants it to mean.

Re: I'd like to see the phrase "no brainer" disappear.

It is a phrase I don't ever remember using. Also seldom ever hear it in my everyday life. I hear it on television shows and it is mostly used, in my opinion, by those in a higher social and financial status than myself. Also hear it from those that always seem to come across as smarter and more knowledgeable than those to which they direct that phrase.

Like everything else that I view with skepticism, I pretty much ignore those that are smarter than myself, in their own mind, or use my own 1 liners, that usually stop them in their tracks.
