I went to the Dr. today and he will do a hernia op. on May 4th.  I will be glad to get that over with and I think I will feel better.

It was 88 today.  I got a little sun.  It is so nice that many are still posting here to cheer me up.  I am so blessed with so many kind friends on this board.  When you see me posting just jump in.  Glad to have you.  You folks are great and very nice.  Thank you very much and God bless you all.

I've known folks with hernia issues and once you get that repaired, you will probably feel more up to socializing outside of the house.  I participate in a monthly Back Fence and Bird's Nest thread.  If nothing else, there are "birds of the day" that I post on the Nest thread.  It's entertaining for some and really educational for me.  Short of one or two birds, I haven't repeated a bird since October 2013, lol.

I'm in SE Michigan and it was a beautiful weekend and beautiful Monday weatherwise.  I had the day off of work (long weekend) and once I got off of dead center and went into the yard (had to cut grass) the sunshine felt good on my body.  Unfortunately my neck is a little sunburned, ha ha ha, but I'll live.

88is a wonderful temp for a intro to summer.We had a day almost that warm so my DH came home early from work to get some sun time.We live in Washington state and get a lot of rainy days so the sun is such a treat.I have been working in my yard and getting some plants for the veg garden.I am not good at that but I try.I found out the one thing I can grow is amazing blueberries.Do you garden at all?

Hi Bobbi Sue, I am alone and it is not a good feeling. I will keep you in my prayers. I have no family, and it seems some people just do not want to be bothered to come and take you to lunch or visit. I am in my 50's and wish I could be there to give you a big bear hug. I'm in a similar situation.  You can't rely on your kids for entertainment.  You have to find your own.  Do some charity work.  Get involved in a group at church.   You'll be surprised how quickly you will make good friends.....and doing for others will make you happiest of all.

Bobbie sue, I'm sorry you have to have surgery .  Why can't we just all be healthy,LOL!  I live alone too...well, no humans live with me. I have pets. I have dogs,cats,birds. Anyway, just saying hello.

What state are you in?  I'm in the mountains in the south and today I sat on the deck and read and watched some of the hawks that live in our woods.

Hi Bobbi Sue!

Hope things are going great for you today. I had 2 appt's this morning and made some hard boiled eggs for hubs to snack on after that. This p.m. I may watch a movie (scary) that I had to get the name of yesterday so I could see the whole thing. A kind lady detective on here found it and helped me out. Going to get my hair cut too in a couple of weeks, it's growing like a weed.
