I Hope She Likes It

[ Edited ]

We have a friend who is younger than us and began traveling with us a little this year.  We've also had her overnight a couple of times.  We're all very comfortable with one another, she's easy to travel with and is an easy houseguest.  We always have a good time together.  She was extremely close to her parents, traveling together, attending sports events together, etc.  She lost both of them last year within a few months of one another and now our friend has kind of chosen us as her adopted surrogate parents.  Our hearts really go out to her.  Normally we don't buy Christmas gifts for random friends but I wanted to get her something - just a token, nothing elaborate.  This is what I settled on.  I hope she likes it,

I have one similar that my sister-in-law gave me. I'm sure that she will like the gift.

@JeanLouiseFinch  It's lovely! And I'm sure she doesn't consider herself as a "random friend.," because you have obviously taken her under your wings.

That is really beautiful and the pair of cardinals will be a remembrance of her parents.  What a kind gesture, @JeanLouiseFinch .
