That is a very sweet story. I hope the good times will outweigh the bad. One of my best life decisions was marrying my husband 52 years ago. Life wasn't easy at first but we weathered the storms and came out stronger. He has always done thoughtful things for me, like writing little love notes or bringing home flowers. His father was just like that with his mother, so he had a great role model. My advice to young women is to see how your significant other's parents interacted for a preview of what might lie ahead.

Your post made me cry hot tears because I know your feelings as they are mine.
But, they are happy tears just the same. So many times I have thought, "if only" and "what if."
Mark this day on the calendar. I hope it is a turning point.

@Witchy Woman Thank you for your kind wish. I hope for the same also and for all those that have felt the pangs of lonliness. I don't hang onto hopes and dreams because for me it's always been a cruel trick and waste of time. We shall see.

Or, watch how he treats his parents and you will see what lies ahead.
