Why do most of the discussion topics and threads get deleted in the "Community" section rather than anywhere else on the QVC forums?  Seems like some don't want to obey the forum rules over there.  I haven't been here that long, but I find this strange.  LOL.

I just did a quick scroll through most sub categories and hardly (if any) closed/locked or deleted posts.  I could be wrong, but my scroll wasn't scientific so....

A number of things happen to get the posts locked or taken down.

Often things go off the rails and people get contentious or downright mean.

The topic (even the most mundane) go political and sometimes the mods let that stand other times they take it down.

Community Chat is THE place where you will find the most contentious discussions and disagreements on topics of current interest. The posters wish to have a place to discuss current events, what is in the news etc. but the mods have a job to do, and wipe out any really good mix up that gets going.

Yes, I see.  However it seems to me that many try to give the mods a run for their money.  I don't quite understand it.  There are loads of other online forums where no holds barred discussions can be had.

I just get the feeling some people feel QVC owes them a place to get nasty.  Furthermore, I think when you give people an inch they want that whole mile.  Entitlement attitudes abound on that particular section.

Lastly, this website and all its contents (including yours and mine) becomes the sole property of QVC the minute we hit the "post" button.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
