Brad's Deals.
According to DS, who is in cyber security, you should not use browser extensions. PriceBlink compromised my computer twice. Never again. Not worth it!

I use some of those you list, @butterfly123. And, of course, subscribe to various websites’ emails for alerts to sales and specials.
I’ve also been using “Brad’s Deals” for years, to get alerts and special coupon codes.

When I was young and didn't have disposable income , I was a very careful and frugal shopper. If I couldn't find a good deal on a sale item, I just did without or bought second hand. I just buy what I want, when I want and don't worry about getting a deal these days.

Thank you for the information about PriceBlink. I won’t use that browser extension.

@queendiva, Not all browser extensions are created equal, for sure, but some of them actually enhance and strengthen our browsing security and privacy. I've spent my life working in most areas of IT, and I always advise people to investigate addons/extensions before using them but never would advise avoiding all of them as a group. When carefully developed and supported, they're extremely important tools. I'm sorry you had problems with one of the extensions you used.🌻

The first thing out my mouth at a B&M store, do you accept....
AARP?
AAA?
xxxGold Card?
Senior Discount (not the same as AARP)?
Is it Senior Day?
Accept manufacturer along w/store coupons?
"Double" coupons?
No shame in my game. ![]()
I do not shop "onliine" unless the business has a toll free # & takes checks & money orders.

First thing I do is throw out the store ads and flyers and delete the e-mails from stores. That way I don't see and I am not tempted to buy things I really don't need, but might want if I see it.
This method has saved me BIG money.
Second, I write down and make a list of what I need and want to buy. For instance, if I need new snow boots or new sheets..they go on my list.
Then, when I receive a store flyer or e-mail, I will look for a good deal and coupons, but only for items on my list.
Before I order anything on line or buy a high price item at a local store, I check online prices first. I read the reviews and if I am still interested I will purchase using any coupons of discount codes I gathered.
i have found out that I spent too much money in the past if the coupons looked good. For instance, I occasionally get a $25 dollar coupon from Penny's if I spend $100. That is a good coupon, but if I use it just because it is a good coupon on something I don't really need, I just wasted $75, even if it is used for something I can use.
At First it took discipline, but now it comes naturally. My savings account looks better and I don't have all that stuff to purge every year. It's a win-win.

I'm on the email newsletter/sales alerts for just about every place that I shop regularly.
And ... credit card cash reward points, Ebates, loyalty programs, store credit card discounts .... lots of places to save money.
