I have often wondered if this company is even legit. I don't know anyone that has used them but just wondering has anyone and how di it go?

Never heard of This Ugly House but we have We Buy Ugly Houses here in Arizona. From what I've hear they and other similar companies really low ball your house. One guy in our neighborhood tried selling to one of these companies and they offered him less than he paid for it 15 years ago.

No, but see those signs everywhere !
Likely, they get alot of older people who have not been able to keep up with home maintence who end up desperate to sell .

Agree.....Old, naive, or gullible people who have no idea of home values, don't know how to find out...will fall prey to these vultures.
Existing homes are at a premium right now due to low inventory...almost ANYTHING that's not rotting and completely falling down can be sold...but old people are afraid and unsure...and uninformed.
Maggots like these outfits prey on such people.

I'm thinking a lot of people simply refuse to admit what their house is really worth, keep the price too high and finally have to resort to these off-market flim-flam places.
People sometimes aren't willing to admit what their house is NOT worth.

They're like those other roadside signs you see all over..."Make 2000 dollars a day working from home!!!!...Call 1-800-SKAM."
There are a lot of gulla billies in this country.

I've never heard of this company. I guess they've never made it to New Mexico.

We have it here also in Georgia. We flip houses but we have never bought an ugly house.
The signs makes me laugh "WE BUY UGLY HOUSES".

I have seen the signs. I would only risk it if I had an unsellable house that I just wanted to get rid of. That probably the houses they want.

From what I understand from one of our Gladys Kravitz-ish neighbors, the house next door to us will have to be sold that way.
They were an elderly couple (90+) and made the decision to move into an assisted living facility to give it a try They decided to stay. He passed away about a month ago and now she's left to deal with it. There are no children, she has to depend on her nieces to help her out.
According to the nosey neighbor, it's a hoarding situation inside, the family room in the back of the house needs to be torn off and rebuilt and they have mold in the rafters.
IDK if what she's saying is completely true, she's also the know-it-all of the block, never wrong. Anything she says needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
But yes, that type of company does exist.
