Thank you Founders of United States' Democracy that we so continue to enjoy!
We've enjoy this yet another year 2024!
We're not a democracy - we're a republic. You may want to edit your post.
from usconstitution.net (not a link, just a reference):
One fundamental principle of a constitutional republic is the protection of minority rights against the potential tyranny of the majority. This design counters direct democracy, where majority rules could potentially ride roughshod over minority interests.
So glad the Founders had such wisdom and foresight.

Thank u for alerting above, abt Democracy vs Republic. I altered my comment above.
Upon cursory research, I find varied information. Seems ppl need to research this for themselves, since there's a variety of pertinent information, & numerous views with assorted info (vs 1 source).
Maybe a good discussion, the purpose of which is to discuss this very topic? elsewhere -->

When I googled for that description, I saw that other sources are trying to create new definitions which is a thing these days (ie woman > birthing person, etc). Best to be careful to not go along with that. Some 'trusted' sources shouldn't be considered as such.
Defending our founding principles is a way to show apprecation and respect for the Founding Fathers which your original post was trying to do but seriously missed the mark.

I wasnt "trying to do" anything, except, be excited on this, United States of America's Birthday. Simply that. Totally UNcomplicated.
IMHO, it's a lot of work, looking for hidden agendas. But, you do you...
Happy America's Birthday! @ThinkingOutLoud
