What a great idea for hanging stockings!

Umm, GENIUS!!- Use only 2-3 stocking hangers and a curtain rod:

@MercysMom

I like the idea, as long as there is room for the fur babies stockings also. Can't forget them😊

Fantastic idea, especially if you have a larger family!🎄

I'm just curious how much weight do you think something like that would hold? We have 5 stockings to put up and they each get filled to the brim usually. I have a holder for each stocking and they hold up to about 5-7lbs each before they tip forward some.

While I like this idea I also wouldn't want to have to use too many of the holders to hold up the bar as it would look kinda garish on my mantel I think. It would just look too crowded I think as opposed to just the holders/stockings. Especially since my mantel has 2 sides to it as oposed to being just one long mantel. (Condo living with a smaller fireplace in a weird place).

Does anyone visualize this like I do and can see what i am talking about?

Very clever.  We used to hang the stockings until Christmas Eve and  then Santa would fill them so full he would have to lay them down on fireplace hearth.

Stockings were hung, and then when Santa came he would fill them and put them in each bedroom.

The kids could open their goodies and give mommy and daddy a bit of time to wake up.
