This subject has been discussed here a lot had no idea 90% of people to age 75 have cataracts, basically ALL of us!
Had my right eye done yesterday and can't believe the difference. Since our natural lens have a yellow tint the replacement lens is clear so colors and light MUCH more vibrant.
Have heard will change with the coming weeks, still blurry but glad to have the blue light glasses for computer and around the house.
He said mine was in the top 3 that he had that were dense, took 45 mins vs the usual handful of minutes.
Check up this morning, and glad to have it done! Next one in 3 weeks.

@rockygems123 Happy you're "seeing" good results on 1st eye.
I had mine done this past year. Insurance covers it, but not the more expensive lenses that make it possible to eliminate weaing glasses. My doc said not only expensive, but a cwap shoot whether you see better enough to not need glasses. I chose the standard ones and don"t mind wearing my glasses.

My opthamologist said the same thing and go with the standard lenses.
2 friends that have spent on the expensive lenses are not happy, so they were a great incentive too not to get them.
Glad we're all happy it's a wonderful thing.

That is early. Could hear them talking about a patient having it done yesterday, she was 24!

Good for you - that's great!
I had mine done ten years ago with laser surgery. I had to pay extra as insurance didn't cover the laser but no down time or restrictions after. I couldn't believe how well I could see after I had both eyes done - didn't realize how bad they were.
I got the standard lenses. I wear readers when I'm reading/on the computer a lot or for very small print.
Good luck with the second eye!

Had mine done about 4 years ago and don't need to use glasses which I'm glad cos they felt uncomfortable. I do however see halos around car lights and street lights at night so I try to avoid driving in the dark. I did have the best len which with insurance cost me about $5000 for both eyes. My eyes did sting a little for a few weeks but dry eye drops helped a lot. Had mine done a week apart. Congratulations it's life changing.

I've wanted to get done, but been having some big time medical issues and have been on heavy duty blood thinners. In the next 3 weeks I have 4 doctor appts. to get everything checked out. I'm off the blood thinners now so hopefully, maybe in the new year can get done. Glad you had it done and everything went well.
