HOW TO QUESTIONS

[ Edited ]

1/ How do I edit a post.  When I go to the three dot menu, I hit edit but it does not take the edit, just bounces back to the original post.

2/ Can I delete a post?  If so, how do I do that?

Thanks!

HA!  I highlight first what I want to edit, then click on edit and the post pops into edit mode.  Not sure how delete works yet.

That's exactly how it works.  Not sure why it isn't working for you.  Strange.

Yeah, doesn't work for me for either deleting or editing. It is strange. I use a MacAir laptop computer.

There may be a certain number of posts needed before those options work.  I seem to remember something about that.  Maybe someone else knows.

I actually wondered about that possibility. It is a wonder why newbies can't delete??

See above in OP.  I just figured out the edit part - but not the delete part.

If "delete" doesn't work for you...you can BACKSPACE your post OUT.   di

I think I've seen others do that here.  Maybe if the occasion arises, I'll do that until I figure it out.

Thanks @Desertdi

The reason why "delete" doen't always work...is if there have been REPLIES to your original post.    (This has to do with the way Q has been programmed....not your fault.)

You can also click "Report Inappropriate Content" at the bottom left of your post, and ask a moditor to remove the entire thread if it has become argumentative, or there have been personal attacks, incorrect information, etc.      di

I can't edit a post either. It just doesn't work. I've tried multiple browsers and devices and it just doesn't work for me. I've given up.
