Wishing everyone a safe and happy 4th!!

Hot and quiet at Shanus's house today. My kids went canoeing. I can't swim and don't like being in the sun all day. We were invited, but turned them down.

Later may be stormy, but will try to get my dinner on the grill. If can't do the cookout, have chicken soaking in buttermilk in frig. for fried chicken and all the same sides. Always prepared for the "iffys"....We'll watch the firework shows/concerts on TV.

This morning  we had breakfast outside, we lif a fire in the gas fire pit and watched the news.  There is a fly in breakfast in town, so we are also watching the planes fly in.

It is a beautiful morning.

No plans for me. I just finished walking 2 miles. Will take a shower and that's it.

Riding bikes to the club for workout (special hours today)....later vegan dogs with sauerkraut, potato salad, and baked beans.  Probably will watch the fire works tonight.  Happy 4th🧨

We had a cookout yesterday, that's when folks were available.  The weather yesterday and today is gorgeous. Believe it or not it was in the 40's overnight, but it warms up quickly. We'll have chili dogs , potato salad , and leftover pinapple pie for supper. Happy 4th to all !
