Happy Hannukah to my friends on qvc who celebrate. After the horrible weekend events, I m happy my Holaucaust surviving parents are no longer her to see what is happening in this world.

Six branch (instead of 8)

Not a big deal...BUT, I had to "remind" my employers if they were going to celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah...they had to recognize Kwanzaa, also.

@Shanus  Yesterday morning, I had to slip out of work to take my 6 year old grandson to school as my daughter was running late for work.  So we are in the drop off line and he says "Mina, do you know what Hanukkah is?"  I said yes, I do - he said yeah for 8 days the oil lamp burned.  We talked about the oil and the miracle and then he says, "I think Hanukkah started in like the 1960's" and I explained to him no my love, it's been celebrated by the Jewish people for over 2,000 years and he was amazed.
