I think that guy meant that he was exercising his "right to be rude."

 

Free speech doesn't apply here at all.  Free speech (in the way this guy invoked it) is about people being able to question or criticize their government, not whether someone has a free right to criticize your umbrella or sunglasses. 

 

My advice is, continue going to this dog park (if you like it otherwise) and ignore these people. 

 

Or, switch to another park, or do something else if you can't do that.
