The gift that always fits is a gift card to a local gas station, grocery store, or Amazon.

@Ainhisgyeah, I'm with you on this one. $25 isn't cheap for a blind gift draw. I would stick with what you suggested and I wouldn't branch out from there. Ok, I would add Target, but I wouldn't do Starbucks. A Starbucks gift card would be wasted on me.

Yup! I never buy coffee out for a variety of reasons; better to buy a gift card to places almost everyone goes or shops at (Amazon). Even if not an Amazon member, the recipient could still get free shipping with a $35 purchase. (I think it's $35...

not sure on that.)

@kindred cats That sounds like a very nice planner. Thank you for sharing that! I was looking for one that was not so expensive!😊

@Jinlei ..........It is a very nice planner.  The size I got is 8-1/2" X 6" and has large gold spiral side and protective plastic cover over such a pretty floral design.  They have several to choose from. Cat Happy  I'm sure you will like it.

Now here's where your gift closet would come in handy!!!

Shame on you for not stocking it to the ceiling with gifts of all sizes and costs!!

Why, you could give nose hair trimmers, Poo Pouri, Hair Scrunchies ( ooops! Nope they are 3 for 35.00 dollars my bad!!) cabin socks, spatulas, plastic drain stoppers, or ONE Mark Charles snips !!!

Now me, here's what I gave this year:

A 65" flat screen TV to the mailman....

A 400. dollar Margaritaville drink maker to the garbage man...

The UPS and the Fedex drivers each got a Vitamix ( I told them it was SO MUCH MORE than a blender when they were looking me strangely...they obviously didn't know it could make hot soup AND ice cream....at least I THINK that's why they were looking at me like that.....)

For my dog-walker I have one of those baseball caps with the red lights in it to grow hair. ....Now I just have to get a dog!!!

QVC advised  me to "buy more than one" of these items.... because you never know when you'll need a gift for someone who you don't know !!!!

Glad I listened!!!

@kindred cats

This is great idea!!!

I keep such a book daily....just make a few lines a day about what I did, the weather, when I see the first birds in spring, when I planted, what bloomed first, or events that I wish to remember later...

My sister laughed at me when I told her this, so I got her one when she retired and she likes it!!
