Dear @1Snickers, I'm glad that you went ahead and saw the practitioner for the nose bleeds. Also glad that you like her a lot. I hope the medication works and that will be that. Take care dear friend! Love you and Snickers! ![]()

This morning when I let Remmy out, I saw across from the deck on what we call the spa level, use railroad tie stairs to get there, I saw the back half of either a coyote, bobcat, or Mt. Lion. It walked like a large cat, long stride and slowly, didn't seem to have the bushy tail of a coyote, but whatever it was, it is now dangerous to be outside. On Saturday or Sunday when DH went out on a turd partrol, lol, he came in with the usual plastic bag of them on the way to the driveway garbage cans, but had to tell me he saw a four foot or so s---e, probably a gopher one, but they usually stay at the top of the property which is hilly and wild. I wish they would take care of the rats.
I told him not to tell me if he sees another, just do what he had to. I didn't sleep that night as I was so bothered that one was where it was, and that a life was ended. I thought of you @1Snickers .
He did away with it, said he had to, didn't ask why, as always before, he tossed the small ones over the other side of the driveway where it is wild and they can get to the road and the creek on the other side, but this was too big. It was so close to the house, hopefully I won't see one, have seen quite a few very small through the years though not for a long time, and some dead larger, one brought to me by my then cat, still coiled but dead when we first moved here, I screamed and left the area. Another we think a bird of prey dropped, don't know, but DH found it at the top of the property.
This morning, I said it is time to move, the wild critters are taking over. We are the only fenced property, but the large animals can scale a 6' high chainlink fence as we have, or jump.
I am nervous about watering, but have to do it again very soon. I was stung again the last time I watered a week ago, this time a stinger was left in my hand so pulled it out immediately. There must be a nest in that area though I have not seen it but did see swarming in an area nearby after I was stung.
Remmy and I are dealing with another skin issue beginning with the mat issue of a month ago. If he would leave that area alone, most of it has healed, now he is itchy at times, all would heal. He makes sores when he chews on the area.
I am going to bake chicken thighs skin on, bone in, in order to get the crispiest skin, my favorite part, and an herby mixture to plop on top, roasted carrots, and roasted new potatoes.
One downside to cataract removal is that now I see my age, whereas before I didn't, not as vivid as now, so am trying some products that have good reviews regarding their effectiveness for particular issues. I have been using one for a few weeks now, but decided to try another at the end of the month.
Wishing everyone a pleasant weekend.
Dear @mousiegirl, My older sister has a crazy fear of snakes. Even fearing them being in the house. I read where snakes stay on the move, not living permanently in one area. They are good for getting rid of rodents. I'm concerned about the animal that you saw that could be a wild cat. It was probably seeking food. I sure hope that it wanders away. Be careful with that situation for you, hubby and Remmy.
I wish that you could pinpoint that bee nest and get rid of it with clorox or spray. I wonder if this is going to be one of those summers where wildlife can be an ordeal. I've been hearing about bears coming into neighborhoods. They have good smellers and I'm sure they are smelling fast foods in the air and garbage cans. Keep a watchful eye out. Love ya! ![]()
